As a Clinical and Care Coordination Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be joining a dynamic MEDITECH Professional Services team, working with clients to implement, upgrade, or optimize the MEDITECH EHR to gain the highest level of adoption and return on investment. You will be using your skills and clinical experience to advise and guide customers on how to implement and use a well engineered, integrated system to its fullest potential. As a member of our Clinical and Care Coordination Subject Matter Expert team, your job would involve:
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Clinical and Care Coordination applications, providing dictionary build guidance, workflow expertise and process improvement solutions
Providing perspective and guidance on current/future state workflows, gap analysis, and department utilization. Capturing best-practices and sharing with the team, and advising practices on suggested workflow modifications
Recommending ongoing solutions and training to ensure success. Serving as a resource for evaluating future needs by performing workflow assessments
Participating with department staff, IT staff, and outside vendors in discussions involving the system which will have an impact on workflow, productivity, and end user functionality
Serving as liaison to the IT department, project managers, and Implementation staff
Developing communication/contact and visit strategy to ensure all affiliates within the assignment are communicated with on a regular basis
Serving as the primary contact to whom the IT department and project managers can communicate with directly
Identifying optimization opportunities to utilize the system to its fullest potential and provide maximum quality outcomes for the workflow changes in the new system
Travelling 80-90% of the time anywhere within the United States and Canada.
Bachelor's degree preferred or 4+ years of Clinical and Care Coordination experience, Prioritization of Care, Patient Management, Delegation, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Communication, Nursing Theory, Community Health, etc.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, and unencumbered clinical license
Working Knowledge of MEDITECH Clinical Care and Coordination applications
Experience in at least one or more of the following healthcare areas:
Acute Clinical Nursing
Emergency Department
Specialty Care
Surgical Services
Oncology
Case Management
Quality/Surveillance
Order Management
Knowledge and experience MEDITECH Clinical and Care Coordination applications:
Patient Care System (PCS)
Surgical Services (SUR)
Oncology (ONC)
Case Management (CM)
Quality/Surveillance (QRM)
Integration with Revenue Cycle applications
Deep understanding of dictionary integration across applications and building process during the implementation of MEDITECH applications
Broad knowledge of how those applications are used in healthcare acute clinical areas
Prior training experience specifically with electronic health record systems required. Specific experience with Clinical and Care Coordination applications
Clinical nursing expertise during multiple MEDITECH Implementations, preferably 6.x or Expanse
MEDITECH READY certified, working as a member or in partnership with a MEDITECH certified firm
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Hold a valid driver’s license.
