Cloud Operations Engineer

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our enterprise environments hosted on AWS and GCP. This role involves ensuring optimal performance and availability of applications, overseeing release deployments, automating tasks, and maintaining security. Your work will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency, security, and reliability of our systems.In this role you will

Manage Enterprise Environments: Handle both Windows (IIS and MS SQL) and Linux (Kubernetes and MySQL) based systems hosted on AWS and GCP.

Application Support: Monitor applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Release Deployment: Oversee and ensure smooth and efficient release deployment processes.

Automation: Automate routine daily tasks to improve operational efficiency.

Vulnerability Management: Identify and patch vulnerabilities promptly in collaboration with relevant teams.

Security Collaboration: Work with the IT Security team to implement security measures and maintain overall application security.

Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades to keep systems and applications up-to-date.

Documentation: Ensure timely and comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and changes.

Reporting: Generate and provide regular reports on system performance, releases, and security metrics.

Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and maintain IaC practices to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure.

Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards learning new tools and technologies as needed.

You've got what it takes if you have

Containerization and Orchestration: Strong understanding of ECS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Windows and Linux OS: Expertise in Windows IIS and Linux OS level configurations.

Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.

Collaborative Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Strong ability to conduct risk assessments, identify potential security risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Access Controls: Expertise in implementing and managing access controls and identity and access management solutions.

Cloud Security: Deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, with a willingness to adapt and learn new tools and techniques.

Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills.

Database Administration: Experience in database administration is a plus.
