Job Requisition ID #25WD86587As the Director, Communications Business Partner – AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations) at Autodesk, you will lead the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives for our AECO product executive and the AECO business. You will be responsible for supporting our AECO product executive by creating and executing their external communications strategy, serving in a consulting capacity for their internal communications, as well as leading the AECO comms team to deliver strategic, high quality communications programs including speaking opportunities, flagship keynotes, presentation content to various audiences including investors and Board of Directors and media relations. You will work closely with senior leadership, product teams, and other marketing teams to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience and support Autodesk’s growth objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement impactful communications programs and content supporting Autodesk’s AECO business for various audiences including customers, investors and Autodesk’s Board of Directors
Manage, direct and motivate a team of communications professionals to support AECO communications programming
Oversee the creation of high-quality content including press releases, keynote speeches, presentations, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and social media posts and ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice
Develop quarterly strategic communications plans with targeted activities to support Autodesk’s AECO product executive as well as other business priorities
Support team to build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, technology platforms, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and enhance Autodesk’s brand reputation
Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives and provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven ability to hire, lead, and inspire high-performing teams with the ability to foster a positive and engaging culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth
Proven ability to work closely, influence and build trust with senior leaders, serving in a strategic advisory capacity
Proven ability to work in complex, global, matrixed environments, collaborating cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver impactful presentations
Strong media relations background – ideally in product, tech and/or corporate communications
Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly
Proficient ability to manage budgets, track, and report on financials

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $172,000 and $278,190. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
