DescriptionJob SummaryThe Director of Marketing reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of Chicken Salad Chick and leads the team that drives brand awareness and sales/traffic for Chicken Salad Chick’s expanding 300 locations across 25 states. This role is responsible for building both brand-level and local-store-level marketing, promotion and media plans that are strategically aligned with the marketing calendar for maximum sales impact. This key position in the company manages a highly functioning marketing team and is a senior leader in the organization and champion of our culture. We are seeking an experienced marketer who is a subject-matter expert with a proven track record in franchise and digital marketing. This position is based in Atlanta at Chicken Salad Chick’s Support Center (HQ).Essential ResponsibilitiesPlanning
Drive new and returning guests to 300+ Chicken Salad Chick locations via local store marketing, strategic promotions, media plans, loyalty program and unique & guest-facing marketing initiatives.
Provide leadership in marketing plan development, execution and people management.
Establish measurable objectives and KPI’s for marketing efforts and for reporting staff.
Develop key strategic initiatives for calendar enhancement and optimal sales and traffic driving impact.
Direct and execute digital and social media placements and local media tie-in opportunities designed to increase sales and traffic.
Oversee the Franchise and Company marketing team who drive new store openings.
Partner with CMO on the allocation of Ad Fund budget resources.
Manage external agency and media process; assist marketing team in effectively activating and communicating the media being placed.
Build resource of “best practices” which are shared with Franchisees and Company market leaders to assist them with making marketing decisions.
Review and analyze sales data, product mix, social media reviews, customer experience and loyalty data and promotion/discount results to evaluate marketing progress and ROI.
Direct the gathering of customer insights and primary consumer research as needed to make business decisions.
Leverage expertise in local store marketing in all forms (promotions, media, product/price offers) across Company and Franchise markets and managers.
Execution
Direct the implementation of brand level and local market campaigns.
Oversee projects, programs and vendor relationships, develops and executes against timelines, tracks progress and performance, maintains brand standards and communication.
Ensure proper training and assistance is given to Franchise Owners and managers at local restaurant level for pre-opening and local store marketing.
Manage media agency and with oversight and monitoring of spend, results, quarterly posts and reconciliation.
Develop and distribute monthly marketing calendars and other communications.
Relationship Management
Build effective working relationships with Franchisees and Company teams to translate their needs into action.
Foster consistent communication with Franchisees and Company Operations to discuss specific marketing needs, to encourage engagement in marketing their business locally, on social media and in the community, and to champion brand standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Track record of developing and executing marketing plans across multiple platforms, with results in local store marketing and digital media.

Education and Experience
15+ years of professional marketing or agency experience, preferably in the restaurant and/or franchise industries.
Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, business, marketing, communications or liberal arts.
Previous management of creative service initiatives including broadcast and merchandising production.
Experience with social media management, digital marketing, advertising, public relations and project management.
Physical Demands
Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including papers, boxes and/or computer equipment.
