Job Description

The

Director of Partnerships and Advocacy is a newly created role to develop a new practice within PlowShare that will bring innovative partnerships and shared and owned media opportunities to our non-profit and public sector clients. This role leads the process of identifying, cultivating, managing and on-going activation of partnerships across various social good and public health initiatives. The role is responsible for selling in partnership ideas to clients and leading collaboration with client leads as well as other agency resources.

This is both a thinking and doing role, with thought leadership, strategic leadership, and on-going partner connectivity as key parts of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership in defining and delivering a strategy to grow the practice, working in partnership with business development leaders. Define the partnership offering and participate in new business pitches to senior level clients.
  • Strategic leadership identifying both new and ongoing partnership opportunities for clients, including defining high-quality Partnership Strategy and Ecosystem deliverables that complement other media outreach.
  • Growing and maintaining partnership relationships that represent both current partners and potential partners for clients.
  • Providing direction and pro-active counsel to partners to help grow their effectiveness. This can include webinar, social, digital outreach and other mechanisms that activate the partners efforts.
  • Developing and driving metrics to set and track measurable goals and objectives.
  • Business acumen in developing the elements of standard and customized partnerships and building execution plans consistent with defined goals and objectives.
  • Delivers high-quality products and services based on quality assurance protocol (QA).
  • Proactively identify opportunities to adjust partnership effectiveness and efficiencies and increase quality.
  • Partner with and build relationships with Publicis sister agencies, third-party subcontractors and client teams.
  • Lead and deliver schedule administration, meeting logistics, report writing, notes, and project management for all partnership meetings and activities
  • Communicate clearly and frequently, inspiring confidence with client and colleagues
  • If and when not fully allocated on partnership work, assist other discipline teams in areas such as account management, social media, paid media, and PR

  • Understands integrated marketing disciplines and how they are applied to various marketing challenges.
  • Continuously learning technology and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Demonstrated ability to use CRM, social media, and project management tools and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus.
  • Public Health/Non-Profit/Government Agency work a plus.
  • 8+ years relevant experience in areas such as partnerships, advocacy, social media, customer relationship management.
  • Experience in health communications and/or marketing environment preferred; tobacco control experience a plus.
  • Experience with project management and CRM tools (e.g. Smartsheet and HubSpot) experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent high performer in setting objectives and meeting them.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with ability to effectively communicate complex information credibly, effectively and confidently at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively; to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines and to respond to frequent needs of complex client

Preferred location – Washington, DC, Atlanta, New York or Stamford, CT

Additional Information

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Compensation Range: $140,000- $155,000annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
