DescriptionICF Disaster Management Division seeks a Field Inspector – IMMEDIATE on-call to join our team immediately! This project-based position is open to candidates located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and nearby regions. Initially, the role will require onsite work for the first 2-3 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule for some. Travel will be necessary .As a Field Inspector you will be responsible for: Traveling to assigned cases to identify and describe damages through photographs and completing required forms; identifying possible mitigation measures and collect documentation; coordinating with FEMA field personnel; and providing additional information upon request.About On-Call Employment with ICFGiven the seasonal or project-specific nature of our disaster & emergency management work, ICF often hires professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (while we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time, last-minute scheduling may also occur), and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (as long as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).Join our incredible group of experts today!Key Responsibilities : Document damage and input into database. Coordinate and participate in site visits. Follow procedures and maintain communication and focus. Maintain and track caseload and track in management information system. Keep Project Lead informed on issues, problems & resolutions. Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems.Please provide an updated resume aligned to the qualifications, skills and experience required.Must Have Requirements: 2+ years’ experience as a field inspector. 2+ years’ experience with MS Office (Word, Excel). Must be able and willing to travel as required for project work. Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.Preferred Skills: (These may set candidates apart) Experience with Xactimate, RS Means and knowledge of FEMA Cost Estimating Format (CEF). Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge in one of the fields (construction, mechanical, structural/civil, electrical, and architectural) is preferred. Prior experience FEMA.Professional Skills: (You will bring these skills with you) Strong written and oral communication skills, along with great customer service. Strong analytical skills. Strong experience with MS Excel, MS Office and data management. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
