We are looking for an experienced Software Architect (SA) who has led engineering teams and successfully developed and launched multiple software applications. The SA needs to be experienced in designing and possesses the ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions and build and coach teams to deliver. This person has a strong technical background, leadership skills and excellent IT skills.
The SA must have proven skills to provide a framework for the development of a software or system that will result in high quality solutions. This individual can see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide a cross-functional development team.
The IP Monetization team is a start-up within a large company and the ability to prove success with low cost is mandatory. The SA architect must have experience in a start-up like environment and can quickly deliver prototypes at low budget to prove viability.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of products through various stages of development
Develop high-quality software design and architecture
Design and develop full stack software applications
Convert client’s high-level requirements into functional workflows and data models. Convert functional requirements into associated software design.
Develop software and documentation, as derived from the functional requirements definitions and the selected design approach.
Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
Develop high-level product specifications with attention to architectural efficiency, system integration, and functionality in line with defined customer requirements
Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meets business objectives and compliance standards
Develop test plans for performing multi-level software testing against design
Support test and deployment of new products and features
Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect and experience with Azure is a plus .
Enterprise-wide integration experience and experience with one or more of the following RDBMS technologies: Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL is preferred.
Experience in developing advanced analytics applications leveraging AWS and/or Azure components.
P rogressive experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, solution architecture and underlying information technologies on cloud and on-premise .
10 -15 years of overall experience, to include e nterprise, full-life cycle experience in Architecture in the professional IT/Software Development services industry.
H ands-on technical application architecture experience and Application build/modernization experience.
Demonstrated success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects).
Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications to operate in AWS environment. Azure experience is a plus.
Experience in developing solutions architecture and evaluating architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models
Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability.
Experience in design, development, and deployment of application software at scale.
It is expected that you will reside within a reasonable daily commute of your assigned Protiviti home office by your start date. Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from a variety of locations including your Protiviti home office, an in-town and/or out-of-town client site, and/or from a remote location such as your residence. It is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$183,000.00 - $312,000.00Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job. 20%The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job. $219,600.00 - $374,400.00Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions.
