We continue to provide innovative care models, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.ResponsibilitiesWellStar has an immediate opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse with Orthopedic Surgery.The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN functions under the direction of the Manager, Director of Nursing and Registered Nurses at the Cobb County Detention Center. The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance. Provides care for the patient under the physician's or registered nurses direction. Includes preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordination of tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in medical record. Helps with patient/family education. Demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all adult ages including adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Performs other duties as necessary.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education :

Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.

Required Minimum Certification :

Current LPN license, in good standing, in the State of Georgia

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Required Minimum Experience :

Minimum of 1 year LPN experience, with six (6) months of medical /surgical experience.

Experience working in a Correctional environment is desired .

Required Minimum Skills :

Must be organized and attentive to detail.

Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction.

Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and employee should also be able to display a positive attitude.
