Lead in the designing, planning, testing and implementation phases of cybersecurity mainframe technology projects. Responsible for subject matter knowledge technical support of information security technologies providing expert problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Lead efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies.

Lead and support mainframe security high visibility and critical projects to harden security footprint through engineering mitigating solutions.

Harden company security footprint through engineering automation-based solutions.

Responsible for the creation and management of operational keys and application program interfaces used for encryption of data encryption in-flight between environments and platforms.

Responsible for configuring resource profiles required to administer multi-factor authentication on various applications, testing options to determine policies, and producing documentation on deployment, testing, roll-out, and aiding users.

Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new information security technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted resources.

Support attestation of access controls, access, and alert monitoring, change control approvals, insurance of continuity, and inventory/updates of releases.

Leads or assists senior level engineers with analysis to identify security vulnerabilities and conduct security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices.

Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity

Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Performs periodic detailed assessments of the operating system and infrastructure components' security configuration to identify security vulnerabilities and provides remediation alternatives.

Lead on all zSecure Products responsible for configuration, policy, support, and usage training on Access Monitor, Command Verifier, zAlert, zERT and CARLa coding.

Collaborate with several business units to identify security control weaknesses and process gaps, addressing audit issues, planning responses and action plans, and tracking and monitoring compliance with security policies and standards.

Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security.

CISSP Certification.

Previous experience in leading complex IT projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or MBA and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in Mainframe security technologies including but not limited to pervasive encryption, ICSF, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security.

Expert knowledge of program command Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: JCL, CARLA, REXX, CLIST, ISPF, SAS)

Direct RACF experience including demonstrated skills with RACF architecture, z/OS system and security knowledge, ICSF, JCL, and batch processing, and RACF security controls.

10+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

10+ years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience

10+ years of hands-on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above)

10+ years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tools

10+ years of experience issuing Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) commands and performing diagnosis

Banking or financial services experience.

Other security certifications (e.g. CCNA Security, GSEC, GCED, GPPA, etc.)

Other technical Certifications (e.g. CCNA, RHCE, MCSE, etc.)
