Network Engineer

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with strong experience in Cisco networking technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructures to ensure seamless connectivity, performance, and security for our client's organization.Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.

Implement and manage network security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and encryption protocols.

Monitor network performance and implement improvements to optimize speed, reliability, and uptime.

Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new network infrastructure and provide ongoing support for network operations.

Assist in the planning and deployment of network upgrades and expansions.

Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security policies.

Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for network-related issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls).Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and VLANs.Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex networking problems.Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or similar) are required; CCIE certification is a plus.Experience with network security tools and practices (e.g., VPN, ACLs, IDS/IPS).Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid environments is a plus.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
