Patient Financial Specialist

Description:

Remote role in Atlanta Metro - reporting 1-2 times monthly to corporateSUMMARYWork in a team environment to address patient balances and inquiries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Maintains a high level of confidentiality when addressing patients.

Answers billing and payment related questions, ensuring that calls are handled in a timely and professional manner.

Setting up patient payment plans within established guidelines.

Performs daily assigned tasks on external collection agency portal.

Effectively communicate with the interdepartmental teams within the AR Department (AR Manager, Surgery, Denial and Ancillary PARs) to resolve patient and/or insurance issues.

Update patient accounts, to include insurance corrections.

Work patient refunds.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONSIdeal candidates will have the following skills and experiences:

Minimum of two years’ experience working in all areas of collections in a physician practice.

Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD 10 and CPT codes.

Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Athena experience is preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills as customer service is a major focus at Resurgens!
