Platform Engineer, ERP - REMOTEAtlanta, Georgia100% RemoteContract$55/hr - $60/hrThis client is seeking a Platform Engineer for a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity.The Platform Engineer is responsible for developing and owning multiple systems. This team member will contribute as part of a dynamic team to drive innovation, build solutions, proactively manage platforms, automate, diagnose, and fix issues. Close collaboration with I.T. and business teams across the company is an essential part of this role. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, team-oriented, and have a passion for improving software delivery, architecture, and development processes.Contract Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-hire) Required Skills & Experience

3+ years’ experience in Software development, creating SQL queries, creating, and maintaining databases

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 3-5 years of experience in lieu of degree

Experience building, administering, and maintaining various platforms

Familiarity with testing best practices

Programming knowledge in ETL tools, such as SSIS, Jitterbit, Talend, Azure Data Factory

Comfort experimenting with unfamiliar tools and technology stacks

Experience leading implementations

Willingness to travel up to 5%

Effective problem-solving capabilities and refined analytical skills

Passion for gathering, manipulating, and interpreting data and uncovering insights that drive business decisions

Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex data in a simple and easy-to-understand manner

Self-starter with the ability to manage time and multiple assignments, shift priorities, and work independently

Demonstrated ability to building strong working relationships at all levels, across functions and geographic boundaries

Experience with data warehousing architecture and data modeling standards and best practices

Hands on experience running systems in Azure

General knowledge of business applications such as PDM’s, ERP’s, CRM’s

What You Will Be Doing

Configure, administer, upgrade, support and evolve our enterprise platforms

Manage a secure and reliable implementation hosting production packages for both on premise and cloud solutions

Hands-on ability to debug production systems (Azure) including performance bottlenecks, determining root cause of incidents

Prioritize and execute responsively on critical issues and needs

Drive improvements to continuous integration, automated testing, and release management

Enable teams to consistently leverage code quality, security, testing and other tools

Extend software delivery platform with automation and integrations to support audit requirements, reporting and controls

Create and manage integrations between platforms (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Jitterbit, Talend)

Manage and enhance multi platforms/environment for enterprise solutions around development, testing, security and workflows

Create and maintain clear, concise documentation, sample code and templates to guide development team’s adoption of technologies and practices

Work with development and infrastructure teams to adopt new technology and implement automated solutions

Provide recommendations enhancing visibility of environment status with monitoring, dashboards, log aggregation across engineering delivery platforms

Contribute to adoption of platforms and solutions, including reporting, metrics, dashboards, and alerts (Power BI, OneStream and other solutions)
