This position requires strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. A successful candidate will be an effective communicator and problem-solver who is able to meaningfully collaborate with multiple teammates and across departments. This position requires someone able to work standard business hours, East Coast Time (8am-5pm).Responsibilities
Analyze contracts with customers to ensure proper NetSuite customer setup and identify pertinent information to account for revenue transactions consistent with the Company’s existing revenue recognition policy and US GAAP, ensuring accurate and timely processing and review based on month-end close and other internal deadlines
Own the processing of transactions related to new contract setup, contract amendments, terminations, and credit memos in NetSuite
Identify customer payments and apply cash to open invoices, and assist team with issues and discrepancies around customer account status
Participate in the month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and schedules
Investigate and resolve invoicing issues and questions directly with customers and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with various departments including sales, legal, business operations, services, accounts payable, billing, and collections to resolve issues as appropriate
Complete ad hoc reporting and additional project requests as assigned by managers or FPA team members, including occasional assistance with month end close reconciliation reports
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
2-5 years of hands-on professional experience in a corporate environment
At least 2 years experience in transaction processing, billing, or revenue accounting experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in Microsoft Excel (i.e. vlookup, pivot table, etc.)
Ability to investigate billing and revenue questions independently and recommend appropriate solutions
Ability to process high volumes of transactions with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce
Prior customer service experience
Experience working in a fast-paced software/technology company
