Job Summary:The Senior HR Manager-Subsidiaries role is a strategic business partner who formulates and implements people/organizational strategy for assigned Delta Subsidiary clients to produce intended business results which are well integrated with corporate strategic direction.Responsibilities:The role is responsible for the entire life-cycle of the company's people strategy.The incumbent has oversight for policies and practices and for ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of human resources services including: coaching/counseling employees and leadership, sourcing and selection, performance management programs, organizational effectiveness, compensation, leader and employee development and providing HR leadership.Specific activities include but are not limited to: anticipating and meeting client needs, executing through service delivery systems, partnering with cross-divisional subject matter experts within HR to create integrated solutions to business problems or issues, and acting as an employee and company advocate who can make balanced decisions in complex circumstances.This position is also responsible for developing relationships with individuals, employee groups and leaders of the business to communicate company policies/programs/procedures while providing leadership around organizational change, process consultation and organizational development.The Senior HR Manager role wields influence through demonstration of HR expertise and influencing clients based on company policy, focusing on positive employee relations and applicable laws.The Senior HR Manager role typically supports a small business, Delta Subsidiary client base of from 100 -1,000 employees and may also lead a team of HR Managers and/or HR support staff (including contractors).The Senior HR Manager often serves as project lead/representative for major corporate projects and initiatives, managing timelines and deliverables and working with cross-divisional teams.This position also develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well being.This job may require travel (up to 20%) depending on assigned client(s).Qualifications:At least 7 years of HR experience is required; experience leading a HR function or team and supporting a complex business unit or division is strongly preferred.Experience in managing HR budgets and P&L responsibilities.Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business management or related field of study is strongly preferred; advanced degree preferred.PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is preferred.Previous leadership/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.Ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of all aspects of HR and more specific technical competence in at least three of the following HR disciplines: compensation, benefits, employment, employee/labor relations, training/development, EEO, and organizational development.Will require the ability to travel up to 20% of the time with some overnight travel included. Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, strong leadership presence, adaptability and have the ability to work successfully across business unit lines and at all levels (frontline employees to senior leadership).Should have effective platform/presentation skills, be a successful mediator and problem solver, have the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, think strategically, be able to lead and influence decision making, be able to build and maintain effective relationships, and be able to lead and develop other HR professionals.Should be able to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure with complex issues within established time constraints, and meet deadlines and objectives.Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.As an equal opportunity employer, Delta Air Lines recognizes that our strength lies in our people.
