Associate, Solutions DevelopmentThe Solutions Development team at Southern Company focuses on creating and utilizing innovative, non-regulated energy solutions tailored for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market. By continuously refining our offerings based on market trends and customer feedback, we aim to deliver high-value, customized energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of our C&I customers.JOB SUMMARY:The Associate will contribute to unregulated Solutions Development by focusing on creating and analyzing business cases, improving existing business models, and developing and supporting the execution of go-to-market strategies. This role will contribute to the overall business model approach for C&I Customer Solutions across Southern Company operating companies, ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of these models.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, contract negotiations, business model development, marketing strategy, sales enablement, and cross-functional experience. They contribute to the successful communication, influence, and alignment across a wide array of internal partners.Key Responsibilities:

Business Case and Model Development: Create detailed business cases, including financial and market analysis, and work on continuous improvement of business models to align with strategic goals.

Data and Market Analysis: Utilize customer data and market research to inform business cases and go-to-market strategies, providing actionable insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate closely with sales, technical teams, and customers to understand requirements, defining solution scope and creating proposal terms and templates that meet customer needs.

Strategy Development and Execution: Create and assist in executing go-to-market strategies, including market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and sales enablement.

Customer and Partnership Engagement: Engage with C&I customers, gather feedback, refine approaches, and assist in identifying and developing strategic partnerships.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Track and analyze KPIs related to go-to-market activities, provide regular updates, and contribute to the continuous improvement of business models and strategies.

Regulatory & Compliance: Ability to integrate of impact to Regulatory construct, and ability to work with Regulatory stakeholders across the system to ensure solutions are complimentary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field required

MBA a nice to have

2-5 years of experience in business case development, financial analysis, go-to-market strategy, marketing, or a related role.

Knowledge of the utility, energy, or sustainability market with a passion for driving innovative solutions

Analytical and quantitative skills, with knowledge of financial modeling.

Proficiency in marketing and sales enablement tools to pull and analyze data (e.g., CRM systems, marketing automation platforms).

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication and presentation skills with passion to grow.

Understanding of market dynamics and customer segmentation.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
