Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe Senior Systems Administrator will work closely with cross functional teams across the company to design, champion, deploy and support enterprise level technologies and business solutions. This position will have deep expertise in a Windows domain and Azure Cloud environment and will drive standards and best practices across the company while mentoring junior level adminsDay to Day:-Analyzing lists of vulnerabilities/security findings Identify how to mitigate those findings follow change control processes to put those pieces together-Helpful to have someone with Project ManagementProject Lead experience or lead experience-Hiring Manager wants to be able to point these resources to a "laundry list" of security items and trust they can take initiative for scope and actionSecurity remediation work:-Applying patches-Upgrading software-Reviewing servers/devices with public IPs/ports are there more secure ways to provide that connectivity?RESPONSIBILITIES:-Lead and continually improve infrastructure designs through research and adoption of new products and automation technologies for the purpose of lowering cost, easing management burden, or providing performance improvements.-Ensure 24x7 operations of mission-critical systems including Office 365, Azure, AWS, Linux and VMware environments.-Perform common system administration tasks leveraging Ivante Patch Manager, Intune, Rubrik, BigFix and other tools.-Provide subject matter expertise for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Office 365Azure infrastructure including hardware, operating systems, common services, process improvement and standardization.-Leverage previous experience integrating cloud and on-premises solutions for an integrated user environment.-Perform scripting and modify scripts for operational stability and automation of manual tasks.-Provide leadership on designing, building and maintaining company level computing standards and processes.-Identify and resolve performance problems, collaborating with software development and data integration teams as necessary.-Provide backup and recovery operational standards that tie to the company's disaster recovery plan.-Perform capacity planning duties for server and storage environments.-Work with QA and IT teams to ensure data security for production, stage and development environments.-Participate in nights and weekends on call rotation.-Ensure compliance with PCI policies and procedures.-Ensure compliance with Sox policies and procedures.Skills and RequirementsEDUCATION QUALIFICATION:Required Minimum: BS/BA degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.Minimum Requirements:-5+ years Windows Server/Active Directory-Group policy, DHCP, DNS, experience in multiple domains-2+ years Azure OR AWS-ServiceNow experienceREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:-System Admin position supporting Windows server environments.-Experience supporting 24x7x365 datacenter operations.-Understanding of mature Enterprise process, Change Control, Release Management, Governance.-Understanding of database technologies.-Working knowledge of virtualization techniques and technologies (VMware, HyperV).-Strong leadership skills.-Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical groups.-Previous mentoring experience with junior administrators.-Experience with Infrastructure as a Code utilizing a common toolset such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.-Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is required.-Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems at a detailed level including processes, memory allocation, and networking.-Expert-level debug/troubleshooting skills.-Able to pick up and learn new AWS/Azure technologies and create internal training docs.-Experience with enterprise applications (support, and troubleshooting).-Experience working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.-Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment.-Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated. nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
