VP/Director of Finance

Description We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves leading the operations of the finance department and handling all finance and accounting operational functions in our industry. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Key responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll Manage the close of income statement and balance sheet for month-end and year-end, conduct account reconciliations & G/L analysis Generate cash-flow reports, project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash Implement the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners Aid in the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis Motivate others by maintaining a positive professional attitude, exhibit integrity, reliability, and leadership Provide exceptional client services by managing self and others by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, and accountability Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Accounting Functions, Annual Budget, Auditing, Budget Processes, QuickBooks Pro, and Microsoft Excel in daily tasks. Requirements Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably as a VP/Director of Finance Extensive knowledge of accounting software systems and proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Demonstrated ability to manage accounting functions, including ledger accounts, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting Proficiency in preparing annual budgets and understanding of budget processes Experience in conducting internal audits for policy adherence and regulatory compliance Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles Exceptional strategic planning skills and ability to make sound financial decisions Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial managers Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
