Join our team!  Position OverviewThe Make Ready Engineering Team Lead oversees a team of make ready engineers and leads all make ready engineering tasks associated to a project. The MRE Lead works with management, contractors, vendors, and clients on a regular basis; coordinates inspections, documents and maintains foundational trackers for each project, based on the project needs and provides quality assurance on projects while maintaining project schedules, budgets and providing continuous engineering solutions.  The position is remote or hybrid based on your proximity to an office location. Buford, GA; Kansas City, KS; Denver, CO.Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees process workflow from design handoff, through the entire makeready process, and out to construction.   

Manage the daily workload of make-ready engineers and ensuring production goals are being met.  

Responsible for maintaining active communication through project stages and various departments.    

Leads communication and manages relationships with client and all related parties associated to makeready work. This includes incumbent utilities, subcontractors, 3rd party project management etc. 

Maintain interdepartmental relations within the project and upholds a positive culture to help drive progress and motivation.   

Drives overall project goals, production, and schedule within the Make Ready Team.  

Tracks and reports forecasted submittals and completions of each makeready task and clearly communicates when forecasts change for any reason.   

Reporting on roadblocks and issues with recommended solutions to JU Manager, construction, and project management (both construction and Engineering). 

Ensures proper handoff between departments occurs on time and confirms receipt of all necessary information needed by engineering or construction.   

Confirms data entry and reporting are accurate at all times to aid in client communication.  

Monitors all changes to process or general make ready approaches and appropriately communicates changes to the team and contractor. 

Responsible for all training and development of makeready project team, fostering constant growth, and encouraging a forward-thinking approach.  

Navigates and handles all team employee reviews, tracks production value, and coordinates disciplinary action when necessary.   

Requirements

Understanding of NESC communication and electrical pole spacing standards is required.  

3+ years of experience in FTTX/Fiber Networks and Telecommunications.  

Experience with the following programs: Katapult, SpidaCalc, O-Calc, MS365, Google Earth, ArcGIS etc.  

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.  

Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects coupled with experience in working with fast-paced engineering in a production environment.  

Strong organizational skills; Critical thinking and mathematical mind  

Flexibility to work shift differential hours.  

Attention to detail is a must, high integrity, and work ethic.

Must have good working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office and Google suite.  

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

May experience long hours of standing and moving

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
