Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities of Manufacturing. Ensures processes and standard operating procedures are followed. Manages team members and their daily activities to ensure the needs of all functions within the area are met (production, training, FSQ, safety, security, and housekeeping). Implements departmental goals, policies, objectives, and procedures. Responsible for achieving plant KPI and budgetary goals.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following: Ensures that all items are properly identified and inventoried.Can maintain current and planned material inventory to ensure FEFO requirements align with. production scheduling needs.Works directly with plant scheduler to ensure optimized schedule is achieved.Overseeing direct reports scheduling to optimize labor efficiencies.Responsible for supporting programs, such as but not limited to, HACCP and SQF Audits.Responsible for driving KPI results and performance in operations.The ability to analyze operations data to identify areas of improvement and execute on corrective actions identified through root cause analysis.Identifies, through an initiative-taking approach, potential cost-saving, budget adherence, and efficiency gain opportunities to improve overall operations.Responsible for developing and maintaining a high-level Team member morale and dedication to serving customers. Assists with hiring decisions. Responsible for, coaching through personal development plans, and creating corrective action plans when needed.Responsible for appraising employee performance.Maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with all safety, USDA and OSHA regulations.Maintains or exceeds quality standards, performance, and attendance metrics.Responsible for development and adherence to team member training plans and the continued training of current employees to ensure quality, safety and productivity goals are met or exceeded.Ensures compliance with established processes and procedures.Maintains effective internal control over the product flow and account of inventory through area.
