JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYTo plan, release, schedule, expedite and monitor materials required for production; manage daily inventory and schedules; analyze, coordinate and communicate detailed production planning material requirements. The Plant Scheduler ensures maximum productivity throughout the plant floor.  Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), USDA Guidelines, and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions) The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following: Coordinate production schedule throughout the plant floor taking into considerations allergens and species changes to maximize throughout. Choose an item. Communicate daily schedules along with priorities to plant operations, warehouse and maintenance. Choose an item. Communicate with buyer/demand planning to ensure proper materials are available to meet production demand.  Communicate with buyer/demand planning to ensure proper materials are available to meet production demands.  Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, so that status reports can be completed.  Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.  Monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness to standards and specifications. Review documents such as production schedules, and work orders to determine materials requirements, and material priorities.  Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, and production.  Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.  Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, and changes to cost estimates.  Follow Lean Manufacturing Processes; team building, consistency in high quality, preventative maintenance, good work place conditions, productive work, etc.  Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
