Finance and Insurance Manager (KN)

Summary:

Ensures customer retention and profitability. Produces additional revenue for the dealership by providing in-house financing services, service contacts, and other auxiliary items to customers purchasing vehicles from the dealership. Ensures that all documentation complies with State and federal regulations.

Essential Duties:

Provides and sells dealer-authorized service, maintenance contracts, and other auxiliary services.

Provides customers with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products authorized by the dealership.

Converts cash deals to finance.

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with finance sources, including the manufacturers.

F&I Managers must obtain and maintain their Notary.

Presents all Finance and Insurance products to customers by using the F & I Menu—100% of the time for all qualified vehicles.

All F&I Managers are required to use the Darwin F&I program.

Processes finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources for secure approval.

Processes all federal, state, and dealership paperwork related to the vehicle transaction.

Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.

Completes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases promptly and efficiently.

Before forwarding to the office, check all paperwork for the correct title, lien information, taxes, etc.

Ensures all vehicle sales documentation is turned into the office within 24 hours of the vehicle delivery.

Ensure that all deals follow FTC guidelines to limit liability to dealership operations.

Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Prepares weekly review of reports. CIT, Cash, and Title and reviews them with upper management.

Ensure that all vehicles have proper insurance before allowing vehicles off the property.

Validates and confirms that down payments are verified to ensure proper payment.

Follows up with any pending deals that have been subject to delayed rejections to ensure that we are funded promptly.

Acquires and maintains current state insurance license, completing continuing credit insurance education as needed.

Completes and remains current with all mandatory Safety Compliance and Safeguard training, which includes KPA and Ninjo.

Maintains an adequate and current supply of all required contracts and documents to complete and finalize vehicle sales.

Provides sales force and sales managers with current information about finance and lease programs continually.

Trains the sales staff regarding the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service and maintenance contracts.

Sets and maintains a program to ensure 100 percent F & I Department turnover.

Develops and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Prepares reports on finance penetration.

Conducts business ethically and professionally.

Maintains a clean and professional work environment.

Attends Leadership Meetings as requested.

Other areas of responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
