Kitchen Manager (Head Chef)

Responsibilities of Kitchen Manager:

Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and quality.

Oversee food preparation and cooking to maintain our high standards.

Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.

Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and consistently.

Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and update the menu.

Maintain strict health and safety standards in the kitchen.

Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures.

Step in on the line when necessary to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef.

A strong background in line cooking across various stations.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Culinary school certification or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.

Responsibilities of Manager on Duty:

Oversee opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and quality control.

Assist in creating and managing schedules, providing training, and supervising staff.

Interact with guests, handle complaints, and collect feedback.

Assist in managing the restaurant’s budget, sales tracking, and expense control.

Assist in planning and implementing promotional activities and marketing strategies.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Maintain clear communication with team members, conduct team meetings, and attend leadership meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

Proven track record of successfully managing a team.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency with restaurant management software and POS systems.

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including front and back of house.

Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Familiarity with budgeting, sales tracking, and expense control.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
