Scotty Browns in Poipu is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our new restaurant location. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, training, hiring, inventory control, and developing the kitchen team. The ideal individual will have a strong background in the food industry and possess excellent leadership skills
Duties:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team in daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and control costs effectively
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years
- Proven experience working in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient in managing Cost of Goods
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
