Feather and Fur Animal Hospital is a fast paced 24-hour hospital in search of a Licensed Veterinary Technician and/or an experienced Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animal care and eager to contribute to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of veterinary medicine and the ability to perform under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients, including administering medication, vaccinations and treatments prescribed by the veterinary team.
-Assist veterinarians in surgeries and diagnostic procedures
-Perform laboratory tests and take radio-graphs
-Educate pet owners on preventative care, basic pet health issues and treatment plans
-Maintain patient records and other duties as needed.
Requirements
-Previous experience in a veterinary hospital preferred
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods of time
-Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in a 24-hour setting.
