Ko'olau Animal Hospital is a small, privately-owned, two doctor, primary care practice with openings for part time and full time veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants. Our clinic has been providing veterinary care in Kane'ohe for over twenty years. Our long time clients and patients are just like family to us.
As a veterinary technician/assistant in our clinic you will be assisting the veterinarians with appointments, restraining canine and feline patients, admitting/discharging patients, assisting with nursing and surgical procedures, monitoring anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, performing in house lab tests, prepping lab samples, filling prescriptions, educating clients, performing receptionist duties, and helping maintain the clinic.
We are seeking responsible individuals that are passionate about animals, have a friendly attitude and are open to learning new things. Candidates should be team players, hard workers and committed to the veterinary technology field. Veterinary hospital experience, veterinary technology education and/or feline/canine handling experience is required to be considered for the position. Wage is based on education and experience level. We are only interested in long term hires (1+ years) and applicants already living in the state of Hawaii.
Our office hours include:
Monday and Wednesday 8am-5pm
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am-4pm
Saturday 8am-1pm
Sunday Closed
