Summary:
Carry out the mission of Kealahou West Oahu and demonstrate adherence to the agency's Policies and Procedures. Provide support to the agency in the areas of occupant emergency planning, drills and exercises, emergency communications and safety assessments. The employee must consistently demonstrate discretion and good judgment as Security. Maintain a professional objective to the agency's operations and its advocacy for the benefits of the participants served.
Facility (Security) Monitor: Duties to include but not limited to:
Ensure safety for members, staff and providers
Ability to travel for conferences and conventions
Conduct safety drills and exercises, evaluate drills and create reports of results
Provide daily support for Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety Programs
Collaborate with Providers, to include Law Enforcement, Fire Department and Hospitals
Mediate and defuse situations that will affect the well-being and safety of the member(s) involved and all
persons on property and the enforcement of Program Expectations
Maintains the OMS database, tracking of incidents, violations, intrusions and to ensure safety protocols
Maintain and update emergency resource center to include emergency providers and contact listing
Monitors and ensures Policy and Procedures related to accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and security, as
well as Program Expectations are being adhered to by staff, members and partners
Knowledgeable to the basic duties of each position within the agency
Attends meetings as directed by the Department Coordinator and/or Executive Director
Maintain Tracking Logs of activities related to the Security Department
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience working in the security field
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to identify Security priorities, complete tasks and implement procedure/process
Ability to take responsibility for decision making
Mediate and demonstrate conflict resolution skills
Demonstrate Time Management skills
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
Coordinate and facilitate trainings/meetings
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to follow instructions, perform tasked assigned, adjust work pace to accommodate work load, lift
45lbs. and walk at length in addition to climbing stairs repeatedly
Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups, clients and general public
Ability to be aware of participants' history and current activity while maintaining confidentiality
Ability to operate office equipment
Effective and efficient skills utilizing word documents, spreadsheets and e-mail
Must have a guard card
Must have current TB clearance
Must have a valid Drivers License and have access to a vehicle to carry out job duties and maintain an
excellent driving abstract for insurance purposes
