Personal Assistant to Climbing Gym owner

Job Type: Part-time, Freelance

Job Overview:

The Personal Assistant will play a dual role in supporting both the day-to-day operations of Kona Cliffs and providing personal assistance for the gym owner at home and at work. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously, and a proactive, friendly attitude. This position will involve marketing and sales work outside of the gym (door-to-door efforts, visiting local hotels, neighborhoods, and completing errands) as well as helping in the gym occasionally as needed, and helping the owner maintain his household.

Key Responsibilities:

Gym Marketing & Sales:

Conduct marketing and outreach efforts in local neighborhoods and hotels to attract new customers to Kona Cliffs, in coordination with the owner.

Distribute flyers and promotional materials to local businesses, hotels, and apartment complexes.

Attend local events or trade shows to represent Kona Cliffs, building relationships with potential customers and partners.

Assist with promotions, social media, and other marketing efforts to increase brand awareness.

Provide misc assistance in the gym when needed.

Marketing work may expand to include remote/desk duties that can be done at home.

Errands for the Gym:

Pick up supplies from Costco, local stores, or other vendors as needed (e.g., gym equipment, snacks, beverages, etc.).

Run miscellaneous errands, such as picking up flyers, or taking care of bank-related tasks (e.g., withdrawing small bills).

Coordinate the purchase of any items required for the gym's operations.

Personal Assistance:

Assist with household errands such as grocery shopping and maintaining household organization.

Meet live with contractors when needed at the house, and provide entry.

Ensure that the house is well-kept and running smoothly (e.g., tidying up, organizing, running small errands).

Perform occasional personal tasks as needed to keep daily life running efficiently.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable with local marketing efforts such as door-to-door outreach, cold calling, and face-to-face marketing.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage a wide range of responsibilities effectively.

Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

A friendly, approachable attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Previous experience in a personal assistant or administrative role is preferred.

Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions:

Flexible hours with the ability to work from the gym and off-site locations.

Expect 5-10 hours/week to start–timing generally pretty flexible
