Manager will maintain a safe work environment, internal/external labor resources.The TD Facilities Mechanical Manager, will also be supporting the engineering team responsible for base build & equipment installations. Team provides design engineering support for existing system modification, upgrades and new equipment installations across high volume manufacturing and technology development sites.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Safety & Quality:
Finishes the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with TD High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) and Technology Development (TD) safety policies
Stops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identified
Applies and reviews job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed
Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout /tagout) and chemical safety.
Follows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with partners
Actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)
Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches
Always wears appropriate PPE, per JHA, Supervisor, EHS professionals, and/or job designation
Proactively finds opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment.
Uses proper lifting techniques and works in an ergonomically correct manner
Implements effective practices
Drives quality improvement initiatives in their area to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and identify cost savings.
Operates and maintains equipment and tools within manufacturer’s and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met
Ensures area-specific procedures and documents exist and submits updates to content when needed
Compliance:
Ensures operations team aligns with applicable local, state and federal agency rules and regulations and Micron policies
Ensures environmental compliance with Micron's ACDP permit and storm water plan when operating equipment
Ensures Operations team is aligned with applicable local and federal regulatory agencies including NFPA, Micron’s discharge permits and safety programs
Demonstrates knowledge of local permit policies and processes
Coordinates with internal environmental, safety and legal teams to ensure correct policy interpretation
Ensures operations team receives appropriate training based on local/state/federal agency requirements
Ensures operations team knows the latest on policy changes
Is responsible for compliance to related Micron's insurance underwriter equipment and systems requirements
Ensures operations team receives appropriate training based on city/state/federal agency requirements
Area Performance:
Is responsible for the O&M and Engineering of all Facilities HVAC systems and Control Room
Is responsible for compliance to related Micron's insurance underwriter equipment and systems requirements
Works with outside agencies
Provides continued maintenance to Micron systems based on manufacturing specifications and requirements
Ensures the proper installation and startup of new equipment including commissioning for projects
Works closely with customers to ensure daily maintenance and foreseeable equipment failures don’t affect production
Uses a sophisticated CMMS system handle maintenance and equipment reliability, track labor utilization, and ensure PMs are completed on-time
Facilitates regular studies on duplication, spare part needs, and PM effectiveness to increase reliability and reduce spend
Establishes standards and policies for servicing, solving, repairing, testing, operating, and inspecting Facilities systems and components
Supervises new construction projects, provides input on design and participates in the commissioning of new systems
Ensures new equipment is entered into the CMMS system
Ensures daily operations, rotations, maintenance activities, and foreseeable equipment failures don’t affect production
Understands department financial budgeting, forecasting, and expenditures to mitigate down time, improve efficiency and lower costs
Establishes a benchmarking program and implements industry best known practices
Identifies and implements new sophisticated systems, methods, and technologies
Develops long term strategies by monitoring mature processes and quantifying equipment “end of life” data for eventual replacement
Applies metrics to evaluate current and past performance for continuous improvement
Coordinates the review of near miss/impact events and drives resolution to long-term solutions
Is responsible for the management of quality initiatives
Defines and requires a systematic project management methodology for initiating, planning, performing and completing critical projects
Oversees cost estimates and maintains department budgets
Ensures area financial budgeting, forecasting, and expenditures for operations and projects are accurate
Works with purchasing and other sites to reduce cost and negotiate terms
Reviews area trends and data to resolve expense budget and capital needs
Develops long term improvement strategies by supervising area processes and systems
Makes informed decisions by gathering data and team feedback
Deploys and communications new initiatives, goals and expectations through area
Communication and Teamwork:
Maintains communication with entire organization
Works with Purchasing and other sites to reduce cost and negotiate terms
Works with Engineering and Operations to improve system efficiency
Demonstrates knowledge of Facilities systems and communicates status to Boise site customers and management
Coordinates design efforts with all affected groups
Defines and communicates new systems, methods, and technologies
Partners with Fab, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify areas of improvement
Establishes regular, working interaction with peers from all Micron/JV sites
Develops trust with customers by providing experienced assistance and advice
Develops business relationships with internal departments and contracting firms that provide support to Facilities
Establishes and communicates long term strategic goals and direction
Maintains communication with other area managers to ensure facilities and production needs are being addressed
Demonstrates knowledge of Micron's facilities systems and communicates status to Boise site customers and management
Partners with a wide variety of groups as vital to identify areas of improvement and potential efficiency gains
Develops trust with customers by providing expert assistance and advice

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge in the Maintenance, Operation and Engineering of facilities systems including HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration
Extensive knowledge of Facilities and plant support systems, processes and procedures
Familiarity with state/city/federal requirements and policies for facilities systems including DEQ, EPA, and DOT, as well as equivalent experience in the field.
Demonstrated success in previous leadership positions
Demonstrated proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Confirmed experience using efficiency and reliability tools like 6S, TPM, non-standard work planning process and use of advanced CMMS systems
Strong interpersonal and prioritization skills
Proven track record to drive multiple complex projects to completion
Proven ability to communicate and present technical information effectively
Proven track record to accurately analyze and interpret data to make data-driven decisions
Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
Proven track record to develop and coach team members

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience education and 4+ years of facilities experience
4+ years of leadership experience
Experience in semiconductor front end or backend manufacturing preferred
