Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a 3rd-year law school student who is looking to gain practical legal experience while continuing their education. Being fluent in Russian, and/or Ukrainian is a plus, and will possess foundational legal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with legal research and case preparation.
Draft, review, and file legal documents.
Communicate with clients, including translation and interpretation when needed.
Organize and maintain case files and legal documents.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court dates.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
Preferred 3rd-year law school student.
Preferred fluency in Russian and/or Ukrainian.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of legal principles and practices.
Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
