A Wire & Cable Manufacturing Company Specializing in instrumentation, tray, thermocouple, HVAC, fire alarm, broadcast, communication, utility and custom-made wire products seeking a reliable and skilled Material Handler with 2+ years of experiences
working inside a manufacturing environment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Production Material Handler will retrieve product from production, load finished products, unload inbound products, provide support to production based on schedule and required material needs. Participate in inventory cycle counts and maintain a clear working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Handle material using forklift, hand jack, two-wheeler.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Verifies Information against orders, counts, weights and measures items of outgoing shipments based on customer order
requirements.
Wrap, tag and loads all out-going product
Maintain shipping log for all out-going shipments
Unloaded inbound product
Verifies quantity against BOL, inspects for physical damage, and puts product at corresponding storage locations.
Deliver all daily inbound packages to corresponding departments.
Maintains Receiving logs for all in-coming shipments
Provide material to production following BOM in a timely manner.
Recover raw material returns from production, verify quantity and place back into inventory.
Assist production with moving/relocating machinery as needed.
Collect scrap generated by production.
Assist in daily, monthly and yearly cycle counts.
KNOWLEDGE:
Packaging, loading and unloading techniques
Propane forklift, electric forklift, electric hand hack and manual hand jack
Prior manufacturing environment experience
Knowledge of applicable OSHA/Safety regulations
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate a forklift
Self-motivated, dependable and able to take direction yet, work independently
Ability to prioritize work schedule yet remain flexible
Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
Well organized and strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy
Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to speak and write in Spanish is helpful
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and work experiences
Six (6) to twelve (12) months of experience working in a warehouse environment and using a forklift.
Knowledge of various types of wire and cable produced, familiarity with the production equipment, and an understanding of the
manufacturing processes are a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee operates within a plant environment and routinely uses various tools and operates various machines. The employee is exposed to vibration and loud continuous noise from operating machinery.
PHYICALLY DEMANDING:
While performing the essential functions of the job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk, use hands to handle, grasp and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crawl or squat as well as lift up to 50 pounds.
PAY RATE: 18.00

WORK SCHEDULE:
SPLIT SHIFT: Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and available to work Saturday (8-hours)
