We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receptionist/Optometric Assistant to join our team in a fast paced, busy optometry practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice.
This position involves all front desk responsibilities, pretesting the patients to get them ready for the optometrist, managing medical records, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
Greet patients, schedule appointments, manage patient information, answer phones, check patients in and out, collect payments, ensure HIPAA compliance
Collecting and verifying medical and vision insurance
Pretesting patients to get them ready for the optometrists
Work with contact lens patients on insertion and removal training
Manage inventory of contact lens trials, ensuring all items are stocked and organized
Provide exceptional customer service, answering all patient questions effectively and efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment
Completes shift opening and closing procedures
Skills
Experience in patient care within a clinical or retail setting is a plus
Strong customer service skills, willingness to go above and beyond for patient care, ability to problem solve
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Computer skills
