Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team on an on-call or project-based arrangement. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of maintenance skills and be ready to respond to various maintenance needs across our Cook, Will, etc. properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance tasks including:
Flooring: Installation and repair of laminate, vinyl, and tile flooring.
Plumbing: Address minor leaks, faucet replacements, and drain issues.
Electrical: Replace light fixtures, switches, and troubleshoot minor electrical problems.
Carpentry: Repair doors, windows, and cabinetry.
Painting: Touch-ups and full-room painting as needed.
HVAC: Basic maintenance and filter replacements.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
Proficiency in general maintenance and repair techniques.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Availability for on-call assignments and flexible scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
Experience with property management maintenance systems.
Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
