Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist. This individual will handle standard payroll responsibilities, including timekeeping and payroll reporting. Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, managers, and HR outsourced service providers. Will ensure payroll policies and procedures are consistently applied, but willing to support a company eagerly looking into process reengineering. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, which places a high value on administrative efficiency and technology.Duties/Tasks:

Collect, organize and complete data entry of new associate information, associate information changes, etc in ADP Vantage payroll software

Create and maintain associate files

Entry of payroll batches, which also includes balancing batches and confirming appropriate approvals from managers

Complete Employment Verification documents from banks and other agencies for associates

Respond to associate email and voicemails regarding payroll questions and password issues

Open, sort and file payroll dept mail

Filling and moving boxes of old payroll files and backup from office to storage

Ability to lift 20-pound storage boxes occasionally

Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Provide assistance to other payroll team members

Cross train to perform other duties

Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must possess strong PC experience (Outlook, Word & Excel)

Must have the ability to act in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality

Must have strong customer service and communication skills including written and verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills

Experience with ADP (Automatic Data Processing) payroll software is preferred, but not required

Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment

Ability to multi-task, organize work load, adapt quickly to changes and deliver under pressure of deadlines

Must be well organized, analytical, mathematical, and capable of analyzing data

Knowledgeable of payroll and payroll tax

Ability to maintain an optimistic, professional and credible attitude

Ability to efficiently solve problems by utilizing quality communication skills
