We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Order Analyst.The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Develop and implement end to end business solutions aligning Direct Ship sourcing processes, systems, and performance while ensuring compliance from supplier to dealer.

Lead projects and represent Direct Ship for strategic, expansion, compliance, and enhancement initiatives.

Collaborate with many business units, such as Product Groups, Procurement, and Business Resources, to understand global requirements and any restrictions and determine impact to sourcing of Cat Parts

As a process owner for the Direct Ship team you will create, implement, and monitor processes (existing and new) and accurately create and maintain associated Program and Process Documentation.

Onboard and provide ongoing unique Direct Ship EDI specification support for Direct Ship suppliers, which includes order transmission, ASN and supplier invoice submission. This may include development and training for internal and external contacts.

Primary contact point for sourcing and EDI related Direct Ship questions.

Coach and provide leadership to co-workers and other employees within Cat Parts on Direct Ship business model.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications)

Effective Communications: Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through written and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal skills and effective listening skills are a key part of this position.

Problem Solving: Ability to apply knowledge of problem solving and conflict resolution appropriately to diverse situations by analytical thinking and investigative work. This role will be able to make decisions based on data and facts. Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives. Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder. Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information. Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution. Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way. This role will involve a keen attention to detail and project management leadership skills. Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the schedule. Ability to multi-task and break tasks into manageable steps that can be incorporated into a personal work plan. Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities. Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case-by-case basis. Creates action plans that ensure the accomplishment of responsibilities.

What You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree

Understanding of the following systems:ANTARES, SPM (SPPE;R/3;CRM/EWM), EDI, SAS, Lognet,CAPS, PartsViz, and POM

Proficient in Office 360 Suite; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams.

General knowledge of Cat Parts business
