LV Property Management is looking for full-time Apartment Maintenance Technicians in Rockford, IL!
Overview:
The ideal person will have a positive outlook, be well organized, and have hands-on experience in building repairs and apartment maintenance, including basic HVAC, basic plumbing, basic electrical, drywall repair, touch-up painting, basic carpentry, window and door repair, and appliance repair.
Pay:
$20-22 per hour, depending on experience, plus quarterly bonuses, a generous year-end bonus, and affordable benefits!
Responsibilities:
Assist with the completion of resident work orders, ensuring the highest standards are maintained for the resident’s home and community.
Maintain property grounds through daily inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and preventative care.
Perform general cleaning and upkeep requests as directed by the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
Assist with new move-in turnovers, which includes painting, cleaning, and general maintenance.
Comply with all established site safety and hazardous communication standards.
Assist with the maintenance/cleanliness of the pool area and its operations.
Deliver resident correspondence as requested.
Perform site inspection checklists as directed by the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
Sidewalk snow removal and salting when necessary
Maintain accurate records for all work orders, preventative maintenance, and site inspections.
Abide by all local, state, and federal Fair Housing guidelines.
Perform on-call as part of on-call rotation schedule.
Must live within a 30-minute commute of the property.
Requirements:
Experience with residential maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
Basic knowledge of apartment building systems.
Positive attitude.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds consistently.
Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and on-call work orders.
Must own basic hand tools required for maintenance.
Language skills:
Ability to read and interpret directions, manuals, instructions, and company documents in English.
Proficient with computers and various software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Experience using property management industry software is preferred.
