DescriptionTransfer Credit Specialist - Bloomington, MNRasmussen CollegeRasmussen College is hiring for a Transfer Credit Specialist. This role is great for an independent worker with strong critical thinking skills and who enjoys detailed, focused work in a fast-paced environment. The Transfer Credit Specialist supports enrollment processes by evaluating transcripts of prospective and current students to determine the transfer credit eligibility of previously completed coursework. This role uses investigative skills to locate course descriptions on other institution websites to determine comparability to Rasmussen courses, and posts accepted transfer credit to student academic records. This position is located at our Central Office and is not a student-facing position.Responsibilities:Through assuming responsibility for transfer of credit and other roles of the Registrar’s office, the Transfer Specialist supports assigned academic programs to ensure integrity, compliance, and standardization of policies and procedures.Additional responsibilities include:
Assess external transcripts for credit acceptance
Determine internal courses for credit applicability
Provide transfer of credit estimates for admissions representatives
Document transfer of credit decision for student academic files
Embody the spirit of Rasmussen’s vision, mission, and values in daily activities
Implement and support policy and procedural changes
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Reporting Relationships:The Transfer Specialist reports to the Manager of Central Transfer. The Manager of Central Transfer reports to the Director of Central Student Operations-Transfer.Requirements:
An Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience working in a fast paced, service focused setting, experience in an institution of higher learning preferred
Candidates must possess strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and manage interruptions while delivering within tight deadlines
Prior experience working with detailed data on a daily basis
