The PK/PD organization applies a variety of model-based approaches including PBPK, PK/PD, QSP and pharmacometrics to impact across this portfolio from early discovery to clinical submission and beyond.The Global PK/PD and Pharmacometrics Department at Lilly is seeking dynamic, energetic, curious, and collaborative quantitative scientists ready to engage and work on life-changing therapies for patients. You will interact with cross-functional teams using a variety of in silico approaches to inform drug discovery and development. Through engagement in experimental design and data interpretation, you will help drive and deliver the portfolio with a focus in the discovery space. We are seeking modeling and simulation minded scientists to contribute to a team environment as we use diverse analytical and computational tools to characterize factors influencing the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of our drugs. We need a dynamic and driven scientist who is able to:
Integrate quantitative approaches into drug discovery.
Conduct modelingandsimulationtoinformdrugdiscoveryand translation of drug properties.
Communicate quantitative data, both internally and in the scientific community.
Provide scientific leadership to project teams to support the selection oftheright target, molecule, dose, patient population, and development strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
PhD in Pharmacometrics, Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Clinical Pharmacology, DMPK, Pharmaceutics, Computational Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
Industry or academic experience in PBPK, QSP, PK/PD, Clinical Pharmacology, exposure-response modeling, or other modeling & simulation related field
Experience using relevant software such as Phoenix, NONMEM, R, SimCYP,Gastroplus,Monolix, Python, MATLAB, or similar
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Adept at working with cross-functional colleagues
Thorough understanding of pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacodynamic principles along with an ability to clearly communicate theories and concepts
Excellent self-management and organizational skills
Demonstrated strongcommunicationskills
