Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all phases of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and job site safety. This role requires hands-on supervision and proactive problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations on construction sites from start to finish.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
Enforce safety and quality control standards on-site.
Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors.
Maintain accurate records of daily progress, materials, and labor.
Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
Manage inspections and ensure all work meets local code requirements.
Troubleshoot issues and provide effective on-site solutions.
Maintain site cleanliness and organization throughout the project duration.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent (5+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
Proficient in scheduling software and other construction management tools (Co-Construct is a plus).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Contractor Requirements:
Must operate as an independent contractor (1099 status).
Responsible for own tools, equipment, and transportation.
Must carry active liability insurance (General Liability and/or Workers' Compensation if applicable, Exemption from State of Indiana is acceptable).
Must be able to provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
Responsible for all tax obligations and business expenses.
