Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will perform standard engineering assignments usually representing a portion of a larger project. This position selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.Position is eligible for relocation support.Primary Responsibilities :
Applies standard techniques involving innovations of methodology to provide solutions to problems involving a limited number of variables.
3D modeling and 2D drawing preparation, revision, and release using NX Unigraphics.
Verify regulatory compliance of designs by analytical methods or testing prototypes.
Solve design issues and verify solutions through analysis and test
Evaluate materials and parts for use in new designs including communicating with current and new suppliers.
Operate in a team environment, coordinating with other functional areas such as software, electrical, and manufacturing to providing input to design solutions and participate in design reviews.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience Needed :
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and system design.
Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability.
Modeling software experience (Unigraphics preferred)
Basic understanding of electronics

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
