Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Lexington, Kentucky. This role primarily involves handling vendor interactions, invoice processing, and data entry. The job function is within the industry that requires strong skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable, coding invoices, data entry, invoice processing, and Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Manage interactions with major vendors and handle large volumes of invoices Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of accounts payable data Oversee tracking of returns and ensure the information is up-to-date Conduct account reconciliation regularly to ensure accuracy of data Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for various tasks Adapt quickly to changes and transitions within the team Ensure quick response and resolution to customer inquiries Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Maintain accurate records of customer credit information Efficiently process customer credit applications. Requirements Minimum of one year experience in a similar role or related field Proven skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Demonstrable experience in Coding Invoices and Data Entry Proficiency in Invoice Processing Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and confidentiality Proactive problem-solving skills Familiarity with standard office equipment Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required. WORKING CONDITIONSThe ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
