Job DescriptionThe Group seeks an Optical Engineer to join our prototyping team. The employee will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group of optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers to design, prototype, and deploy high-integrated electro-optic systems for use terrestrially and in space. The candidate should be self-motivated, with a demonstrated capability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and to autonomously identify and solve problems. The vertically-integrated group develops systems from the concept phase through prototyping and deployment. As such, the employee will have the opportunity to do impactful work across the full optical systems lifecycle, and must have expertise with optical and opto-mechanical design, analysis, assembly, alignment, and test. The collaborative nature of the role requires the successful applicant to work fully on site.
