Description We are seeking a Legal Coordinator for a prominent firm in the Lexington Area! Overview:The Legal Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial interaction between potential clients and the law firm. This role involves efficiently gathering essential information, assessing case viability, and ensuring a smooth transition to the legal team.Responsibilities:Client Intake:

Answer incoming calls and emails from potential clients.

Conduct initial interviews to gather relevant information about potential cases.

Screen incoming cases to determine their suitability for the firm's practice areas.

Document case details accurately and efficiently in the firm's case management system.

Case Management:

Assign cases to appropriate attorneys or legal assistants.

Schedule initial consultations and follow-up appointments.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and case progress.

Track case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up.

Client Communication:

Provide timely and informative updates to clients regarding their case status.

Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.

Address client questions and concerns, providing clear and concise explanations.

Administrative Tasks:

Prepare legal documents, such as intake forms and client correspondence.

Maintain organized client files, both physical and digital.

Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling, billing, and document preparation.

Requirements Applicant must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; further legal education or certification is preferred.

Previous experience in a legal setting or equivalent secretarial role is highly desirable. Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Familiarity with legal terminology and court system is beneficial. Experience with client intake procedures is mandatory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, lawyers, and other staff. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment. Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work overtime if necessary. Knowledge of electronic filing systems is a plus.
