This encompasses executing top-tier performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems. As a technical expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaS), Terraform, AWS automation, and system administration within a complex global organization, the position requires additional proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory technologies.The ideal candidate is characterized by strong analytical abilities and exceptional problem-solving skills. They are expected to assume a leading technical role in new areas, showcasing the ability to swiftly acquire in-depth knowledge, both technical and non-technical, even without prior experience or formal training. Demonstrated adaptability and effectiveness in dynamic environments are essential. Moreover, the candidate should excel in functioning creatively and efficiently within a highly cost-conscious setting. Vendor issue management expertise, including data capture and upload, along with adeptness in addressing bugs and problems through effective communication, is also a key requirement for this position.WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUEngineering and Project Support:Plan on-premises system upgrades and cloud requirements, considering business needs and goals across system lifecycles.Test procedures for new/upgraded servers, including installation, upgrades, cloud implementation, and disaster recovery.Lead technical decisions in diverse project teams and proactively plan infrastructure based on business needs.Author Terraform (HCL) code for the Infrastructure as Code pipeline in AWS support.Engineer and test disaster recovery processes for new systems or upgrades.Coordinate with DBAs, Network Engineers, Desktop Standards staff, and Project Technical Leads.Oversee builds of dev/test/staging/production environments and define maintenance procedures.Serve as a technical leader on systems development projects and collaborate with Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and Enterprise Architecture (EA).Operations and Support:Perform daily system monitoring, respond to after-hours pager alerts, and collaborate with developers on application/system-level issues.Repair and recover from hardware/software failures, coordinating with impacted constituencies for Tier I or II issues.Maintenance:Support system enhancements/fixes through migrations and perform maintenance during scheduled windows.Apply OS/application patches, upgrade tools/utilities, maintain documentation, and coordinate vendor site visits.Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization, providing periodic performance reporting.SA Project Management:Manage systems projects, tracking objectives, and milestones, and coordinating resources.Manage operational projects, working with management to establish objectives, milestones, and resources.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGBachelor (4-year) degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated proficiency in technical analysis and written technical documentation.Five or more years of experience administering a complex Active Directory, Hybrid AD, or Azure AD environment of at least 1000 users.Three or more years of experience implementing and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, supporting line of business applications.Three or more years of experience implementing and maintaining complex application environments, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform, Bitbucket/Github CI/CD pipelines.Experience supporting applications such as Citrix XenApp or CRMS, within an enterprise-scale environment (at least 1,000 users).Experience configuring AWS IAM and Azure, storage and backup services.Experience writing Terraform (HCL), JSON, YAML code.Experience with OS-level scripting environments (such as PowerShell or bash) and interpreted languages (such as VBScript or perl).Experience with Microsoft/Linux DNS, MS Failover Clustering, SQL ServerExperience and demonstrated effectiveness in a technical leadership role, whether formal or informal, within complex systems development projects having staff of diverse levels of experience and areas of responsibility.Experience with cloud service models including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSCertifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) and HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.Proven expertise in hosted and cloud-based solutions, specializing in migrations to platforms like Office 365, Azure, and Amazon Web Services.Proficient in navigating and troubleshooting interoperability issues, both within and to Windows Server 2012R2 and Windows Server 2019.Comfortable working in a diverse environment that includes non-Windows servers and systems, showcasing proficiency in Linux-based systems.Additional experience in maintaining VMware infrastructure, whether on-premises or in the cloud, with a focus on major version upgrades of vCenter, ESXi, and VMware Data Protection resources is a valuable asset.
