Description We are offering contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, 40206-3148, United States. This role is crucial in our organization as it involves managing our accounting functions, particularly working with Accounting Software Systems, and handling both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and taxes Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts Assist with the preparation of financial statements and support schedule according to monthly close schedule Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis Prepare monthly account reconciliations Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances Assist with financial and tax audits Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role is required. Proficiency in accounting software systems is necessary. Experience overseeing all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Must have a strong knowledge of SAP software. Ability to create and maintain process documentation. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is required. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise a team.
