We believe in giving you the opportunity to also work closely with multi-functional departments (Operations, Risk, Quality, Maturation, Logistics, and Procurement) to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the facility.SCOPE OF THE ROLEThe Maturation Warehouse Lead Associate will work on or in our warehouses and dumping lines from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and with the occasional day to day overtime and potentially on Saturdays. Our company is growing rapidly, and the schedule may change with accelerating production.Candidates MUST be serious about safety, quality, and attention to detail. A good candidate will also need to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, be able to endure prolonged standing, squatting, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in hot, humid, and cold environments.PAY RATE : $26.59/hour (90% upon hire, $23.93; 95% after 6 months, $25.26; 100% after 12 months.).WORK LOCATION : Stitzel Weller Distillery, 3902 Tucker Avenue, Louisville, KY 40216SCHEDULE : 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and with the occasional day to day overtime and potentially on Saturdays.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safely perform barrel filling, emptying, warehouse entry, withdrawal, inventory, or other duties as assigned to successfully achieve whiskey maturing operations

Operate a forklift to move barrels on pallets, unload barrels to porches for entry or exit from rack warehouses, unloading supplies, or other tasks as defines

Transport barrels by barrel truck to support warehouse operations

Safely perform barrel entry, barrel removal, and barrel rotation. Including warehouse elevators, rolling barrels, bung setting, rolling barrels down the rack, relocation of barrels to different floors of the warehouse, operating a Jere Hoist (mechanical barrel lift), operation the barrel truck and hydraulic lift on the truck

Unload empty barrels manually or by the use of mechanical equipment to barrel filling line

Fill and empty barrels by utilizing lances and electronic controls

Leak hunting, barrel repair, and barrel sampling

Must gain complete knowledge of site production policies and procedures

Exhibit a positive attitude with coworkers in a team-based environment to meet production goals

Ability to clearly communicate with team members during movement of barrels, specifically when rolling barrels or in ricks

Follow the direction of management given directly or communicated through the crew lead

Be a team player with a positive attitude while ensuring a clear line of communication with management

Demonstrate area ownership, pride in workmanship, and task completion in the production area

Improve safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity in the area

Follows all GMPs, housekeeping guidelines, 5s, and rules for food safety regulations

Conduct, policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Follow all seal management procedures including proper disposal and record keeping

Follow all spill report and incident protocols

Complete forklift driver training and renew training license as required

Participate in risk assessments related to production and other areas of operation

Complete all required documentation timely and accurately

Make recommendations for continuous improvement activities for the department

Support in training of other as assigned

Cleaning, moving, and dumping recycling containers

Open and close tanks, containers, materials

LEAD ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead the maturing crew in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring daily production numbers are met.

Ensure the correct barrels are being pulled from the picklist and that the number of barrels needing to be pulled is accurate.

Responsible for leading morning tier meetings with the crew and for giving the crew direction for what the day will consist of.

Ensure all employee training records are kept up to date and new employees are properly trained and signed off once fully trained.

Assist in coordinating the pulls/loading of third-party barrel shipments.

Assist in scheduling pulls/dumps for the week to meet the forecasted demand.

Work closely with the processing team to ensure on-time liquid availability for blending, bottling, and tanker operations.

Responsible for communicating all incidents to site leadership in a timely manner.

Good attendance is a required as well as being a model employee for the crew.

Assist in the daily tasks in SAP of creating picklists/ confirming dumps/ creating BOL's & shortforms for barrel containers.
