Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital.The LPN duties will consist of providing clinical support to the unit. The LPN will participate in patient education and rehabilitation, and provides interpretation of treatment to the patient and the patient's family. The LPN coordinates unit activity and assures accountability of assigned tasks. Demonstrates clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintains the highest quality of cmprehensive patient care. Demonstrate professional skills and performs the tasks needed to maintain a therapeutic milieu and optimum patient care. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with leadership. Responsible for maintaining and upgrading knowledge in psychiatric nursing by engaging in activites that enhances current knowledge base.QualificationsMust have at least six months experience as a nurse in a health care setting, or at least one-year general nursing experience, and be eligible for on-the-job-training or the equivalent. Must have at least an academic diploma in nursing and be licensed to practice as a License Practical Nurse in Mississippi.SPECIAL SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDMENTS:Must be eligible to qualify for Mandt and CPR certification.

Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
