What it takes: The ability to work independently visiting various retail locations within 25 miles of your home. Activities vary each day and include auditing products, counting inventory, setting new fixtures and displays, setting products and shelves to new layouts, moving shelves and fixtures, stocking products, and placing shelf labels are just a few of the critical tasks performed as part of this job. If you learn quickly, have a positive attitude, and have great attention to detail, this job is for you. What it requires: The ability to work independently and as part of a team, lift to 30 pounds and bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time is needed. Access to reliable transportation is a must. Smartphone access for reporting and photo capture is required. This position reports to one of our local district managers - to be sure you have local support and training, you will need to have some availability on weekdays for training purposes. We also provide a full-service call center to help if you get hung up and need assistance in-store. As a Master Derrickboat Operator of heavy lift diesel powered floating cranes with lift capacities up to 250 tons, has overall responsibility of the operation and maintenance of the equipment assigned. Responsibilities Major maintenance and repair of locks and dams, channel maintenance activities, marine construction, and general hoisting services. Direct or perform the operation of hoisting and swinging engines on derrick boats and floating cranes with capacities up to 250 tons engaged in marine construction and repair services and maintenance of navigation channels Responsible for the proper list, trim, and stability of the vessel for the work being done. Move levers controlling the raising and lowering of the boom and the horizontal movement of the boom, or the horizontal movement of the cab and boom, the height of the hoisting line, and the opening and closing of the bucket attachments. Make heavy lifts to and from docks, navigation structures, other vessels, and from underwater areas. Place objects on barges for repair or transportation. Perform preventive maintenance and in making emergency repairs to equipment. Oversee and assist with all repairs to house, hull, machinery and equipment, including major repair work on cables, sheaves, buckets, spuds, and other vessel or crane equipment. Plan and coordinate for critical lifts. Prepare critical lift plans or reviews and approves lift plans prepared by other operators. Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) and Ability to Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation) Operation of Motor Vehicles Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) PHYSICAL EFFORT: Moderate physical effort is normally required in steering the vessel, walking, and climbing. Somewhat greater effort is required in accomplishing housekeeping and general maintenance work. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed both inside and outside aboard floating plant in all types of weather.
