Job Title: Permitting SpecialistJob DescriptionAs a Permitting Specialist, you will submit and monitor the progress of applications, facilitate jurisdictional requests for additional information, and prepare permits and applications. You will also coordinate with the engineering team to ensure accurate deliverables and submittals, review jurisdiction standards, and accurately interpret requirements to ensure drawings and submittals meet said requirements. This role involves coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities
Submit and monitor progress of applications.
Facilitate jurisdictional requests for additional information.
Prepare permits and applications, tracking through to Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure accurate deliverables and submittals to the jurisdiction.
Review jurisdiction standards and requirements, accurately interpret those requirements, and coordinate with the design team to ensure drawings and submittals meet said requirements.
Essential Skills
Experience in permit preparation and applications.
Knowledge of zoning requirements.
Understanding of jurisdictional standards and requirements.
Ability to coordinate with engineering teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in telecom, commercial development, wireless telecommunications, and tower compliance.
Knowledge of right of way and easement.
Understanding of development and zoning permits.
Experience with telecom projects is preferred but not limited to fiber projects.
Work EnvironmentWork hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM in a business casual office/cube setting. The company currently has over 80 employees and is growing as the project load increases.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
