In this role, Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for understanding the current COQ landscape as well as project generation and actions to improve identified areas. The Senior Electrical Engineer also plays a significant role in NPI programs ensuring the Clothes Care Electronics team produces robust control designs.PositionSenior Electrical Engineer – Clothes Care COQLocationUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesEssential Responsibilities:

Organize and understand internal and external data to identify, prioritize, and drive projects to reduce electronics COQ and increase reliability.

Own field return investigation for controls and electronics related concessions and parts returns.

Facilitate autopsy investigations working with Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to escalate issues to the supplier.

Participate in ongoing efforts through the service parts and SmartHQ teams to understand failure modes and fix issues.

Collaborate with the Factory COQ Engineers to understand factory issues and failures.

Own the translation of COQ solutions to BCR projects, NPI programs, and own the execution of COQ related BCRs.

Support and present at Clothes Care COQ meetings.

Support thorough and efficient testing processes and practices in the autopsy lab.

Contact technicians and attend service calls for specific areas of focus.

Attend reviews and assess all new designs through the understanding of COQ issues.

Provide input to refrigeration electronics hardware and software specifications to drive future and ongoing design improvement.

Support SQE team as necessary, including electromechanical devices such as motors and locks.

Actively participate in the Clothes Care fault code review meeting to help drive robust solutions during the development process.

Report status through regular pulsing meetings.

Ability to travel up to 20% required, including domestic and international locations.

What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated hardware design and/or troubleshooting/testing capability.

Demonstrated proactive approach when identifying problems and delivering results.

Clear communication and collaborative interpersonal skills.

Ability to facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to drive decisions and progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent.

Six Sigma certified Green Belt or Black Belt.

Experience working with global design teams.

Experience with Design for Reliability.

Experience in meeting domestic regulatory requirements, such as UL60730
