Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the financial operations of our organization. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial documents. Manage both the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner. Maintain and update the General Ledger regularly, verifying the accuracy of recorded transactions. Prepare and post detailed journal entries for a variety of financial transactions. Execute the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and analysis. Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline accounting processes and procedures. Collaborate with other team members to improve and develop the accounting process. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant or equivalent Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, NetSuite, and SAP Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) and managing Journal Entries Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical abilities to manage large amounts of data Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
